Jill Wilson

Jill Wilson began dancing at the age of two and now holds a Bachelor’s Degree of Fine Arts in Dance Performance with honors from the University of the Arts under the direction of Donna Faye Burchfield. Jill has danced in venues around the world. She had the opportunity to dance with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater at Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles for a revival of Memoria, originally choreographed by Ailey in 1979. She apprenticed with Spectrum Dance Theater in Seattle, WA under the mentorship of Donald Byrd and was one of fifteen dancers chosen for the University of the Arts’ European Touring Ensemble where she performed repertory of William Forsythe in Paris, Luxembourg, and Antwerp. With Jacob Jonas The Company she has performed at Jacob’s Pillow Inside/Out Festival, Ailey Citigroup Theater in NYC, and The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts. Through JJTC she has partnered with brands like Groceries Apparel and Daniel Wellington watches and is featured in the New York Times bestselling book “Dancers Among Us” and sequel “Dancers After Dark”. She is also seen in Fantastics Magazine, Basic Magazine, and in two campaigns for The Getty Center’s #GettyInspired initiative which was placed in magazines, online, and billboards around Los Angeles. Jill was invited by NIKE to speak on a panel with four other female leaders in the dance industry for their partnership with Lead Like Her. A co-founder of JJTC along with Jacob, Jill is multi-talented, serving as dancer, administrator, and managing director. (@jillwil42)
